    Zona’s 52nd Birthday Party

    Friday, January 15th, 2010

The weather was really lovely throughout the entire morning. On my way to Putrajaya Marriot Hotel, you could see the sun shining through the clouds, an indication that it was going to be a really good day and to top it off, I was going to have my first shoot of the year 2010.

I love good signs like this =D

    Zona's 52nd Birthday Party-1

I meant signs from the universe, not literally signs lol! I have always wanted to do a shoot at the Putrajaya Marriot Hotel and I jumped at it when the opportunity arose. However, not knowing much about the whereabouts can be really bad but thank god for GPS haha! It was the lovely Mrs Zona’s 52nd birthday party and boy does her organizing committee really know how to throw one. For starters, being the only guy there a.k.a. me, does help entertain the ladies =p but they were all really nice, fun and sometimes a little naughty =p

    Zona's 52nd Birthday Party-2

Not only that, the setting was lovely, all handcrafted by a florist and decorated by the organizing team themselves. Games were prepared to such extend that there was even a game called Pin The Parts on Tiger, you wouldnt wanna know what it is about =p. The food was absolutely delicious as well and seeing these ladies enjoying themselves so much, it made my day even better. A big thanks to Zai for calling me up for the shoot and to Zona, a very merry happy birthday to you. It was an experience to be a part of the birthday party and very memorable one as well. Hope that I could throw something as awesome as this when my time comes, which is a very very very long time more lol!

Hope that you love the shots cause I love them to bits myself =)

From the Archives: Rendra Zawawi Farewell Gig

    Thursday, December 17th, 2009

I was just going through some of the old photos from way back when we first started all the way until the current collections and yes in a way, I did see us improving a lot in the way we shoot.

Boy it was pretty different back then and like any others we were eager to shoot anything and everything. From the street shootings, to the general landscape and from there events and wedding photography really did nudge us a little in the back to try it out and that’s was how from there, we were acquainted with until today. We love what we do and we’re really passionate about it and therefore, we’re introducing a new section here, in this blog from time-to-time our from our very own archives just to show you all what we used to shoot back then.

    1

In a way, these are also our memories which we want to record down and it is always good to go back to basics because we believe that with a firm basic in the knowledge of our photography, comes forth really beautiful images that will last a lifetime.

I love attending music gigs from time-to-time and I firmly believe in our local talents in the music industry. There are so many whom are so talented in what they do and I love their determination and their deep passion in music and I guess that is  litteraly a translation of how I feel about photography. So, here is a set of some of our local music talents in Bangkok Jazz from some time way back =)

Sneak Preview: Aw Yong & John Lau

    Monday, December 14th, 2009

I love knowing how couples meet.

The stories behind it is always interesting. I remember asking my mum about how she met my dad, apparently it was at a church camp and they were both fighting over as to who gets the peanut butter. And as much as it started out as a fight, it soon bloomed on to a loving courtship, marriage and well, that’s where you get *ahem* me :)

When I asked Aw Yong to tell the story of how she and John met, she was pretty shy in telling it but I could tell that she was also eager to tell it as well. Well to cut the story short, both husband and wife are from Australia, which sparked of an old school tale of how 2 souls fall for each other. Both met at the same university and from there their stories began to unfold one by one.

Congratulations to you the both of you and a full post of the wedding will come out next ;)

    Wedding: Dennis & Evonne

    Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

    Hey there, I’m back!

Yeah, I know it’s been a while but I’m back to blogging and boy this update is really not 56k friendly. I shot Dennis & Evonne a couple of months back and seriously, this couple was super awesome! I really enjoyed photographing them and yeah this set of photos was supposed to be up a very long time ago and I give you permission to smack my head for it haha =p

There was so much joy and laughter throughout the wedding and oh and did I mention that Evonne looked really beautiful in her dress? Or that Dennis, the groom was looking oh so charming in his suit like a Hong Kong movie star? Prior to their wedding day, we’ve never actually communicated before until the day itself as I was actually introduced by our videographer but we hit it off straight. Evonne really knows how to crack some jokes and Dennis was super fun and nice, I love you guys!

You guys are the best and I hope that we could see more of each other in the future and oh congratulations again you two =)

    Sneak Preview: Dennis & Evone

    Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

It has been a while since we last blogged and I admit we’ve been really busy and that I really miss it…

But I guess nothing could have taken me away from meeting these lovely couple and shooting their wedding. Evone looked so beautiful in her dress and Dennis was looking all charmed up in his suit but before the actual post, I just have to mention this first ;) . When I first met Dennis, he looked so much like a Hong Kong actor that I almost thought he was haha! They looked so cute together, it almost made me want to drop my gears and join the party!

So here’s to them but for now, it’s just a sneak preview of Evone on their wedding day =p

Sneak Peek: Alicia & Gen Hui

    Friday, August 14th, 2009

I love shooting couples, in fact, all of us do!

And when I had the opportunity to shoot Alicia and Gen Hui, I was more than delighted to do so because I have known Alicia ever since like forever. Well maybe not forever but from the old college days and I met Gen Hui about 2 years back. Seeing both of them still growing strong and still the same as ever, made my time stop and reminisce about my college days and how much I enjoyed it. But still, the past is the past and now, I really love what I do. Being able to photograph the moments of happiness and joys of our friends and families is what I’ve always enjoyed doing and I hope that I could document each and every single one of them.

Haha I just love being around all of my friends and these 2, well they are a lot of fun to photograph and definitely funny =)

Well let’s get this over with and here is a SOOC sneak peek of the session that we had last weekend.
